Pro Advocate Radio serves the public by providing a platform for conversations that might not occur otherwise, at least not in long form and not with as much detail.
Our commitment is to uplift advocates who make a difference, to encourage news media reports and social media awareness of issues requiring greater advocacy and support from you, the public. We are doing more than inviting in speakers and publishing conversations; the conversations and engagement are also supporting the development of solutions to social problems.
Can societal problems be addressed effectively through transparency?
Yes, is our answer, so help us test this out. Pro Advocate Radio collaborates with a variety of journalists and media to ensure greater transparency and problem-solving. The time for this is now and we hope you, too, will use your voice to make a difference!
Along with transparency, it is critical to focus on integrity, including in the area of journalism. The eyes and ears of the media may be the only protection afforded to our most vulnerable citizens at times, so investigating thoroughly and reporting accurately will dominate our to-do list as we expand the library of content on Pro Advocate Radio.
Sometimes this insistence on integrity and transparency comes at a cost, but we believe the rewards to our community and it’s families and children far outweigh the risk.
While we are preparing for our next series of radio broadcasts, please take some time to listen to our previous shows, and let us know about the topics and experts you believe are important to cover.
On the top of our list for the fall of 2016 are a couple of issues on the Georgia ballot. The SafeHarbor bill provides funds to help victims of sex trafficking recover from exploitation, and another vote is aimed at the muddy waters of judicial oversight and ethics failures in our courtrooms. Please get to know the facts and be sure to vote!
